I am 500% done with all of the Bionicle/Steven Universe comparisons. They might share a few tropes and themes but that doesn’t mean they tell the same story.
Bionicle is obscure as fuck, it did not influence SU in any way.
Just because you like both series doesn’t mean you have to constantly fucking compare them and pretend like they’re the same when they are not.
Not to mention that no one suggested actual plot ideas for a Bionicle spiritual successor; most of the replies were essentially “make it more like Steven universe”, as if Steven universe is the only good piece of children’s media that has ever existed.
I like the show, but Bionicle is not SU. And it shouldn’t be.
Bionicle is Bionicle. It has its own feel that hasn’t quite been replicated by any other series, which is why we are all still in this obscure tiny-ass fandom rather than moving on to something else; the void of Bionicle cannot be fully filled by any other franchise because it really was that unique.
